Crazy Flooding {September 12, 2012}

It seems like we have had some pretty crazy weather here over the past few years. We are either super hot and dry and just desperate for rain or flooding and so much rain we literally have no room for all the water. Well, yesterday we had no room for the water. It rained pretty hard starting yesterday night and all through the morning and unfortunately just a few blocks away from our house the water was just too much. The damn in Santa Clara broke and crazy amounts of water filled the whole area. We are so grateful that our home was not in the line of drainage but so many other homes and businesses were not so lucky. I got some pictures from The Spectrum's website:

Seriously behind that damn there is usually no water whatsoever. Its crazy that there could be that much water in such a short period of time. We are so sad for all those homes and businesses damaged. Poor Dutchman's I think will be a total loss. The crazy thing about it is that we had no idea what was happening until Sam tried to take Gator to the park to play and could not get through the road because of all the water. We are completely devastated for all those who have been effected by this flood.
