My Etsy Shop

Like I mentioned before, I opened an Etsy shop. I am SUPER excited and finally got it stocked up a bit. I also started a blog to kind of explain and share my thoughts about different projects and items. I also wanted to have another way to communicate with people that may have questions or want something custom. So, I hope you will go check it out! Let me know what you think! ( I know, I know it needs more items and I promise, they are on their way!)

The shop's blog is here!
The shop itself is here!

Climber

I'm not sure if our Hayesie is a boy or a monkey.  He LOVES to explore and is ALWAYS trying to climb on top of things. He knows he not suppose to though and will make the silliest faces when he gets caught in the act.

I feel like I've been here before

I think maybe I have a problem, but for some reason, I keep dreaming up all these ideas and for some reason, I just can't stop. I love the thrill of planning and coming up with ideas and trying to make things work. So, I've opened an Etsy shop. The links is here. Its in the very early stages but I have SO many ideas of things to add to it. It seems like everyday I think of something new I want to try or something I think sounds cute. I love to create things, and I love to put things together. I told Sam I think the day I sell an item I will have a party, I just can't even imagine actually selling something, but I am sure excited to try. I don't think about selling things as much I think about creating things. Unfortunately, in order to be able to create things, I have to sell them, thus the shop. The shop has its own Instagram and Blog as well. (@hayesiedaisy and http://hayesiedaisy.blogspot.com/)  I am really going to try to keep them updated, but right now, I am just excited to create.

Check it out, if you'd like.

Napping

Sunday afternoons were made for napping. Hayes has never really been a great napper, but for some reason last Sunday just wore him out.

My favorite part is the church shirt, with his booty shorts :)... All the things I said I would never let my kids do or wear, and here I am, laughing about it. It's just not worth the fight. :)

Riding in the car

One of my most favorite things is to look back and see this angel in the back seat of my car. He loves to look around and do silly things. He is seriously so fun! Can he get any cuter??

Carousal

I think that this little carousal in town in the cutest thing ever. Hayes was much happier to sit and watch the thing go around than he was when we actually got on it. He sat on a horse for about one time around and then wanted off and for me to hold him. It was fun and I think he will like it eventually, for now, we will just enjoy watching it from the side lines. :)

Playing with Gator

Have I mentioned that we have the most patient dog there ever was??? Well, we do. He lets Hayes climb all over him and pull on him. He had decided that Gator makes a great walking toy and he loves to try to hang on to him and walk around. Gator is such a funny dog and when he decides that he's had enough, he goes and lays on the couch where Hayes can't reach him, or in our bed room.

I am so happy that these two get to be buddies!

Bryce Canyon Half {July 12, 2014}

Oh man, we did it again. A few years ago we started running the Bryce Canyon Half Marathon with my family and its has been a fun tradition. I didn't run last year because I was still recovering from having Hayesie, but this year we were back up there running. I was pretty nervous for this year. This was my first race "post baby". I was nervous that I would just crash and burn and have a terrible race. I was also nervous because I really haven't done long runs. I run pretty consistently throughout the week, but as far as any real distance, I just haven't done it yet.

The night before the race was a total nightmare. I kept waking up and having terrible dreams and I feel like I barely slept. Well, it was finally time get up and go and we started the race without a problem. Kate stayed with me and I really had a pretty good run. I struggled a bit at mile 10, but other than that I felt really good. I was able to finish strong, and that was nice. I also learned a bunch of really good things to help with the marathon. I know I need work on my stamina. I know I need to work on my head. I know I need to run the end of the marathon like a billion times. I know I need some more music. I know I need to lift more and get stronger. All of these things will hopefully help me have a great race.

This race has been a fun tradition I hope to keep up!

Mornings and bed heads

This face and that crazy hair is the best sight in the morning. I swear, it never gets old!

Out to eat {July 10, 2014}

The other day I needed to run some errands for work and luckily I was able to take Hayes with me. We ended up having to head out to Hurricane. I don't usually have to go out there, so it was fun to see how much things have changed. Hayes was such a trooper and took a big long nap. While we were out there, Hayes woke up and was hungry. I was super hungry too, so we stopped at Durangos. I got one of the high chairs and noticed that it didn't have buckle, which makes me a little crazy because if Hayes isn't strapped in he will try to stand up the whole time. Its way annoying. So, after a few minutes of fighting him to sit down, I came up with what I think is a genius solution and used my purse as the strap to keep him in. It did the trick!

He's such a silly guy and I was so glad to spend the day with him! He's absolutely one of my favorite lunch dates!

Walking and a new hat {July 11, 2014}

I bought Hayes a bunch of new pants and shoes because he literally grew out of all of his old ones. While I was getting those things, I found this hat that I just loved. When he wears it I think he looks just like Sam. Its the cutest. Oh, and you see what I mean about the cart- he takes it everywhere!

Walking

Ash had a great idea to let Hayes push around this blue shopping cart she has in her classroom. Ever since she brought it over, Hayes has been a walking machine. He pushes that thing everywhere. He is getting so good at it now he literally runs everywhere he goes. He has let go a few times and taken a couple of steps, but no official walking yet. I feel like its coming very soon though.

Hayes and Dad swim time

Playing

Park play time is the best way to start the day.

Watching TV

Hayes is such a funny TV or  screen watcher. He only likes to watch certain things, that just happen to be very educational (HOORAY). He loves Letter Factory, Talking Words, and Story Bots. He also loves anything music like X factor, The Voice, etc. When he hears his favorite shows or singers come on, he will stop whatever he is doing and sit and stare. He gets so serious. I think its so funny. He is usually so busy and moving and tearing things apart that its funny to watch him stop dead in tracks and watch the TV. To be perfectly honest Letter Factory is the only reason I can get dressed in the mornings. I even bought an extra DVD, just in case.

He's started to get a little crazier with how he watches things, like balancing on the side of the couch (OH MY!)

Stae {June, 2014}

Cousins I think are the best thing that has ever happened to Hayes. He is absolutely obsessed with all of his cousins and loves when they come over and play. (I am pretty sure that feeling is mutual too). Stae came down and stayed at my mom's for a weekend and one of the things on her list was to come over and see Hayes. Hayes was beyond thrilled when she walked through the door. He has been loving Stae lately and she is so sweet to play with him and haul him around (even though he really is almost as big as her).

Cousins really are the best!

Babes on babes on babes {June, 2014}

Pretty much all of my friends got married and started having kids before I was ready to and so I worried that I would be the old lady with a baby and all my friends' kids would be in high school while I was still changing diapers and doing play dates. It seems a little silly, but I really did worry I would be the one that everyone one would think I was the grandma and not the mom.  It was an extreme worry, I know, but to me it felt real.

I have been so happy now that I have Hayes to see that my friends really are all still in the same boat and that we will continue to have things in common. We joke sometimes that Hayes looks like he fits between Jacee and Jesse (Jand's kids) because they all three look so much a like. I never really realized what we were missing out on until we started going to park dates and swim dates. Its fun to see the kids play together and to see how our friend circle just grows and grows. We have two babies on the way for the group, and I would imagine that will just keep growing.

These babes are so fun and I can hardly wait for them get older and play and hang out. I hope they will stay friends for a long time, just like me and my friends.

My own drink {July 8, 2014}

I really have such a terrible habit of going to Swig nearly everyday. I've talked to my sisters and my aunts about this because they are all just as bad as me, but its more than just the drink. Its the whole experience of going to get it that we are addicted to. Apparently, I am already shoving my terrible habits on my child because he loves to get his own drink now. (don't worry, its just water). He thinks its so fun to have his own cup. I actually like it because he thinks its so fun and will drink more water, with it being so hot, that's a great thing and I don't worry as much about his getting dehydrated.

The only problem is that he screams bloody murder when I have to take it away. Its awful.

The dishwasher

I swear every mom has a picture of their kid sitting in the dishwasher, and when Hayes climbed up on the door and started playing with all the pieces of the dishwasher I was SO excited to take his picture. I really just love all these moments of him exploring and hitting milestones. I feel like it's so fun and exciting to see how fun and exciting everything is to him. He makes all of these ordinary things seem so amazing and interesting. I love to watch his mind work and to watch him learn and explore this world.

I am beyond grateful that I get a front row seat to his explorations of this world, and I hope that he keeps letting me watch and take pictures and be apart of things for years and years and years. Nothing makes me happier than being this sweet blondie's mama!

Keep being curious and exploring this world Hayesa Waysa, you have so much more to see!

Gator

I post so much about Hayes all the time and I figured it was about time to talk about my first child, Gator. We have the sweetest most loyal best dog in the whole world. He really is so sweet. We just love him. He is my favorite running partner and I LOVE to take him swimming and up the mountain because it seems like he is just in Heaven! I am so glad we decided to get him 5 years ago! He has been such a great addition to our family and I can't imagine life without that sweetie pie! I just love my Gatorlicious!
