Father's Day {June 16, 2013}

We have been so blessed to have so many great dad's in our life. This year was especially fun because it was Sam's first fathers day. He is such a sweet daddy to Hayes and I am so grateful.

 

Brandi's Married! {June 7, 2013}

Our sweet Brandi is a married woman now. She got married to Jesse on June 7, 2013 at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

I was feeling really nervous about taking Hayes down to Vegas for that long. Sam was having anxiety about taking him into a casino with all the smoke. After a few minor melt downs, we made it through. Unfortunately, we missed the ceremony. Sam, I, Sydney, and Lucas headed down to Vegas and we would have even been an hour early, but because a semi truck caught on fire on the freeway we were late. It was so sad, but we luckily were able to go to dinner after it was over.

Brandi made such a beautiful bride and I am so happy she is so happy!

2 Months {June 13, 2013}

Our sweet Hayes is already two months old. I cannot honestly believe how fast time has gone by, but in the same respect thinking about his birth seems like forever ago. We are loving getting to know Hayes and see his personality coming through. He is such a sweetheart. I love being home with him, and I am so glad I don't have to go back into the office full time (when I go back). I honestly couldn't bear to leave him for that long. Being his mama is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Being with him feels so normal and like it was meant to be. I love to look at him and talk to him. I feel like he understands what I am saying. We have a picture from our wedding day hanging in our living room and Hayes just loves to stare at it (we joke that he must have been there and remembers it).

Here are a few things we know and love about our sweet boy:

LOVES to eat
Loves to play on his play mat
Loves to go for walks and runs with Gator and Mama
Loves his Mama
Gets so excited when he hears Dad's voice
He smiles all the time
He has rolled over twice
Likes to roll onto his side when he sleeps
Is pretty noisy
Loves to hear his voice
Is pretty gassy (TMI??)
Grunts a lot, especially when he is waking up
Pretends to sleep, its really funny because he will peek out and see if its ok for him to wake up, if there are too many people around he closes his eyes and keeps pretending, if its just up he opens his eyes and gets into play mode.

Weighs: 11 lbs 5 oz. (we weighed him at my mom's office and he weighed 11 lbs 15oz... so somewhere in that range)
Length: 22 inches
Wears: 0-3 Mths (a few newborn pants but they are getting pretty small)
Diapers: Size 1

Hayes's blessing {June 2, 2013}

What a special day blessings are, and Hayes's was no exception.

Sam and I were pretty nervous, Sam a lot more so than me. We were pleasantly surprised when Hayes was wide awake the whole time but didn't make a peep. He was so good. Sam did a beautiful job and I was one proud mama and wife. What a special day it is when you watch the love of your life give the other love of your life a blessing and ask our Heavenly Father to watch over and protect him. It brings an amazing sense of peace.

We had such an outpouring of love and support, it was truly amazing.
