It seems like we are getting into the perfect park time of the year. All the kids are gone back to school, its not too hot, and we are loving to go. Hayes loves to swing. He is so funny though and kind of hangs there sometimes like he isn't sure what to do, then other times he is all squeals and kicking his legs. Such a funny kid.
We like to go to the Vernon Worthen park because they have a section that is made for little kids. Hayes LOVES it there. He loves that I let him crawl and climb around by himself (I am of course following and watching him like a hawk, but he feels more independent). The other day we had a little girl that loved to follow him around and wanted him to watch her go down the slide. He literally was oblivious to her. She got a little upset, so her mom had to explain to her that he just wanted to play. It was so funny to see the difference in kids, Hayes isn't really old enough to notice and want the kids to watch and play with him, and she was so aware. I hope he stays oblivious to girls for the next 15 years or more. :)
After we got home from the park, dad was home. Hayes LOVES to come home to his dad being here and ready to play with him. We have been trying to time it so we go to the park a few minutes before Sam comes home so Sam has some time to shower and wind down, so then when we get back he's ready to play. Hayes doesn't understand that Sam has to do some things when he gets home, and will get really upset when he goes and showers and leaves him to play. Our new system seems to work better for everyone.
Sam had found some dandylions that were ready for blowing and wishing. Hayes wasn't really sure what Sam was doing, but he joined in too. I am so glad Sam is such a sweet dad to Hayes. You can just feel how much they love each other every time they are together.
