We have been working more and more in "self feeding" around here and Hayes is so funny about how he eats things. When my nephew was little (and lets be real, even now) he would shove everything in is mouth that was set in front of him and basically choke on everything. He would barely even look at what he was eating. Well, that's definitely not Hayes. Hayes looks at things and pokes EVERYTHING with his pointer finger before he eats it. He is usually good at biting things and not shoving the whole thing in his mouth. Our biggest problem with his eating is the throwing. He likes to throw things to "share" with Gator off his tray and onto the ground. He does this every where and it can get kind of embarrassing, like when we are eating out and he throws something that hits the waiter! :)
Right now Hayes is OBSESSED with fruit. He could literally eat it all day long. His favorite is grapes (cut of course). We have to make him eat normal food before we offer the fruit because he literally won't eat anything else. I guess there are worse things for him to be obsessed with, but the kid has got to get some better variety.
