Mannheim Steamroller

To start the Christmas season this year, my dad invited us to go to the Mannheim Steamroller concert at the Centrum. I was actually kind of shocked when even Sam said he wanted to go (I later found out Sam had no idea what Mannheim Steamroller is haha.). I was a little worried because we didn't feel comfortable leaving Hayes with a sitter, so we brought him. He ended up being an angel and slept the whole time.

The concert was so much fun and made me wish I had practiced harder and kept with the violin. It was amazing music and really got me into the Christmas season. Sam got antsy and tired so we decided to leave at intermission (it was also kind of late). We heard later that we saw the best half of the show, so that made me feel better. What a fun evening.

Dads wakeboard boots

Hayes went and found a pair of Sam's wakeboard boots and tried to walk around the house in them. I was laughing because they are so big and pretty heavy and Hayes couldn't hardly lift his feet off the ground. He thought he was SO cool though. I sent a picture to Sam and he was SO PROUD! He thought Hayes knew what they were and was getting ready to ride a wakeboard. I really don't think Hayes knew they belonged with a wakeboard, all he cares about is that they are Dad's. This funny kid is so full of personality it just kills me.

Pine Valley snow 2015

I guess you could say we've made it a tradition to head up to Pine Valley after the first snow every year. We have done it the past two years and every time it's just so magical. Gator absolutely loves the snow and Hayes does too (it takes him a minute to love it). Hayes stomped around, Gator went Mach 10. Sam and I watched and laughed at these two silly guys. I love that we live close enough to snow to enjoy it, but that we don't have to deal with it every day.

Happy Thanksgiving 2015

Every year we don't go with my family for a holiday, I always struggle a little bit. I miss them and I want to see them on holidays. Don't get me wrong, I love Sam's side of the family too and miss them when we aren't with them, but there's just something about your own family that you miss on holidays. This year for Thanksgiving, my  family was all over the place. Ash was traveling in Alabama, Kate was in Logan, and Mom and Dad were in Cedar. We didn't have much going on in the morning so Sam took Hayes to play at the park. While he was doing that, I took Gator on Chuckawalla Trail. One fall Gator and I hiked that trail a lot. It's so much fun and so beautiful. I later realized Sam should have just waited and we all could have gone on the trail together (geez, I can't think things through very well). It was nice to go with Gator though. It was beautiful and felt really peaceful. I was glad I got to go do that. I was texting my sisters the whole time telling them they should have been there with me.

We spent most of the rest of the day at Sam's mom's house. We love the Gibson/ Weldin bunch. It was a pretty small gathering this year, which was nice. Hayes was SO tired and just ran around like a crazy person until he literally dropped. He slept on my for a few hours. I LOVED it so much! Hayes hardly ever falls asleep on me and I just loved it. All in all is so fun to be with family and to have these holidays to get together. We are so lucky to have two great families to be apart of, and for Hayes to grow in to. We are so blessed.

Cheese

Hayes's new thing is to say "CHEESE" when you take his picture. I laugh every time! He seriously is the cutest thing ever!

Weldin boys

These Weldin boys sure are handsome. Every Saturday that's good weather, these two head out to the park for some Daddy Hayes time and Hayes loves it more that anything. I love it too because I can actually clean our house and I know that they are doing something so fun. Hayes and Sam are lucky to have each other.

Playing in the cold

When the cold weather hit, it hit fast. We went from picnicking out back to beanies and sweatshirts over night. It's hard when it gets really cold because Hayes needs to be outside, I swear he's a different child if he doesn't get to go outside.

After being cooped up for a few days, we decided to bundle up and head out. Hayes loved it! Unfortunately, about ten minutes after I took these pics, we got down poured on! :)

New hat

Hayes loves when Sam wears his hat, so we decided to get Hayes a hat of his own. I took him to the mall and he picked out this red one. My dad was so happy that he picked a Cardinal's hat! :)

School time

Hayes has been so good about doing school time and is getting so good at the activities I have made for him so far. I LOVE watching him learn and I love that he is so proud of himself when he accomplishes a task!

Halloween {October 31, 2015}

Because we were in Salt Lake for Halloween, we went trick or treating with Ali and her in-laws. They live in the cutest area and there were SO many kids and the most beautiful homes. Hayes was a little hesitate at first and then really got into trick or treating (typical Hayes). He dressed up like Curious George, of course. He was the cutest little monkey and it was so fun to go with so many other kids in the cutest area.

The Zoo

While we were in Salt Lake for the concert and Cooper's blessing, we went to the Zoo! Hayes loved running around like a crazy person and seeing all of the animals. It also happened to be Halloween so we saw so many cute kids all dressed up!

Garth Brooks {October, 2015}

When me and my sisters heard that Garth Brooks was going to be in Salt Lake in October, we all got SO excited! It worked out perfectly that it was the same weekend Kati and Justin blessed Cooper, so we were already up there. It also worked out perfectly that my Dad loves Garth Brook, the concert was a few weeks after his birth, and we needed a gift for him. Win, Win, Win.

It was SO much fun!

Picnic outback {October, 2015}

When it's still warm the end of October, you eat dinner on the back patio. Hayes got a new hair cut and I was so nervous about it, but I was so happy with how it turned out! The only thing I don't like is that he looks about 12 years old now!

He sure is an animated little guy!

Funny gator

Sometimes I think Gator is a teenager inside. He has the hardest time waking up in them morning, he seriously reminds me of a teenager. He drags himself out of bed to go potty, then hops right back in and lounges for a few hours until he's good and ready to get up. I had to make the bed the other day before he was ready to get up, and he WOULD NOT MOVE... so I made the bed around him. Hahaha. Finally he rolled around and sat up, but not without a big YAWN and a look letting me know he was unhappy. :)

Racing

Hayes lined up his animals, then:

ON YOUR MARK. GET SET. GO!!

I have the cutest video of him saying on "Mark. Set. Go!" He is so funny. Oh and if I would let him only wear a diaper every day, he would be SO happy. (Actually, he would prefer no diaper, but that will NEVER happen. :) )
